Mortgage Interest Rates Drop (November 25, 2025)

The average rate for 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages fell to 6.32% this week (November 25, 2025), according to Bankrate’s latest lender survey:  "While mortgage rates have fallen from the 7% range earlier this year, the decline hasn’t been enough to spur home sales. The National Association of Realtors said last week that October home sales were at an annual pace of 4.1 million, a level well below both pandemic and pre-pandemic levels. Meanwhile, this week’s Case-Shiller Index showed home values fell in 11 of the nation’s 20 largest metro areas. It’s not a crash, but it is an indication that sky-high home prices might finally be coming back to earth."
