We will build a new law firm model that serves clients wherever they are located and however they do business. Social distancing does not mean the end of the attorney-client relationship. But it does suggest that we need to create a more dynamic and collaborative environment for that relationship to flourish. Clients and lawyers may work remotely with a full suite of technology available to transact business and communicate. Skype, Zoom, DocuSign, Google Drive and an array of Internet and Cloud-based apps - many of which have yet to bet created - are empowering lawyers to improve communications and work flow and provide clients with more efficient professional legal services. This pandemic has shown us that our own national public health and economy are closely linked to the health and economies of the rest of the world. As our economy recovers and grows, we will have increased opportunities — and responsibilities - to address the public health and economic challenges in the United States and around the world.
