On a Sea-Swept Island, a House Built to Withstand Floods (WSJ)

I'm not sure how WSJ finds these places, but this home is quite interesting:  suspended staircase and waterproof legs on dining table and adjustable weather-resistant wooden shell around exterior of house so that even when a storm is pounding one side, the family can keep the house open at the opposite end! Designed by Oslo architect, Knut Hjeltnes.
